What is a therapeutic intensive?
A therapeutic intensive is a private, immersive therapy experience dedicated to your loss without the gaps between weekly sessions.
Over two to four structured days, the intensive is designed to go beneath the surface of your loss. Rather than managing loss week by week, this format gives us the time to understand what you are carrying, explore the complex issues surrounding your pain, and develop a clear path forward.
Clients who participate in intensives often describe a shift that would have taken months in traditional therapy. They leave with a greater ability to regulate their emotions, a changed relationship with their grief, and concrete tools for living with loss in a way that feels sustainable.
How it Works
Before we begin: You will complete an intake questionnaire so we can identify your priorities and develop a personalized treatment focus and goals before the intensive begins.
During the intensive: Two to four days of extended therapy sessions, guided reflection, and integration exercises. Family members may be included if appropriate and desired.
After the intensive: You will leave with a written summary of insights and strategies, clear next steps, and the option for follow-up sessions to support your continued progress.
